A report published by the Russian "Fastnik Kavkaz" website confirmed that the State Corporation for Atomic Energy "Rosatom" - which includes more than 400 companies - implements projects all over the world, and controls more than 40% of the global uranium enrichment market and nearly 17 percent of the nuclear fuel market.

The writer, Ekaterina Finnik, explained that most of the international contracts for building reactors were concluded before the start of the Russian military operation in February of this year, and despite the West's campaigns to refuse to cooperate with Russia, countries began canceling their agreements in this field with Russia except for Finland, which ended the agreement. With Rosatom last May.

The writer added that the main tasks of Turkey's internal policy are to ensure its independence in the field of energy, and thanks to the "Akuyu" nuclear power plant project, Turkey hopes to secure 10% of its energy needs.

Although the Russian and Turkish side signed an intergovernmental agreement on the construction of the power station in 2010, construction work was launched only on April 3, 2018, by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin.

The author indicated that, in general, 4 power units will be built on the Mediterranean coast of Turkey, each with a capacity of 1,200 megawatts.

The first unit of the Akkuyu Power Plant is scheduled to be commissioned in 2023.

The author points out that the Dabaa plant is the first nuclear power plant in Egypt, and once the works are completed, Egypt will be a country that possesses third-generation nuclear reactors.

The construction contract was concluded in 2015, and the construction of the first power unit began at the end of July of this year, according to which it is planned to build 4 power units with a capacity of 1,200 megawatts each.

The author indicated that in 2014, Moscow and Tehran agreed to build two additional power units with a total capacity of 2,100 megawatts.

The Russian side participates in financing them, and the project is the largest joint initiative between the two countries.

The author pointed out that Bangladesh is seeking to replace fossil fuels with clean energy sources.

Therefore, at the end of 2015, it concluded a contract with Rosatom to build the "Rupor" nuclear power plant on the eastern bank of the Padma River, which is 160 kilometers from Dhaka, and two third-generation nuclear reactors with a capacity of 1,200 megawatts will be operated.

According to the author, the Indian nuclear power plant "Kodankulam" in the state of Tamiland is the largest project between Russia and India in the field of nuclear energy.

Russia cooperates with China in the field of nuclear energy, as Rosatom participates in two projects, namely, "Tianwan" and "Xudabo" nuclear energy.

As for the Hungarian government, it agreed last August to build the fifth power unit of the "Pax" nuclear power plant under a contract concluded with Russia in 2014, ignoring pressure from the member states of the European Union.

And by 2033, a nuclear power plant is scheduled to be operational in Uzbekistan's Jezik Province.

Moreover, the newspaper said that in May 2016 Saudi Arabia signed an agreement with Russia for cooperation in the peaceful nuclear field.

For its part, Rosatom has applied to participate in the tender for the construction of two power units there.

While Nigeria, Rwanda, Zambia, Ghana and Tanzania show interest in cooperating with Russia in this field.
