  The Response Coordination Center stated that in response to the epidemic situation and the "New Ten Articles" announced by the Joint Prevention and Control Mechanism of the State Council, and on the premise of continuing to implement the "5+3" prevention and control measures for immigrants in the Mainland, starting from 00:00 on the 17th , Optimize the epidemic prevention measures for people entering the Macao Special Administrative Region from the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, Taiwan Region and foreign countries, from 5 days of centralized isolation medical observation and 3 days of home isolation medical observation to 5 days of home isolation medical observation and 3 days of departure restrictions (hereinafter referred to as "Optimization 5+3" measures).

  According to reports, the above-mentioned adjustment measures apply to those who entered the country on or after the 17th, and those who are currently undergoing centralized isolation medical observation.

The Health Bureau and the Tourism Bureau will arrange for relevant persons to leave the medical observation hotel in batches in an orderly manner on the 17th. Relevant persons can also stay in the original medical observation hotel at their own expense to complete the home isolation medical observation.

  The Response Coordination Center pointed out that the above-mentioned adjustment measures do not hinder the current regulations on restricting the entry of certain identities due to epidemic prevention reasons, that is, people who currently need to apply to the Health Bureau for epidemic prevention reasons still need to apply.

Holders of Chinese passports, Hong Kong and Macau Exit-Entry Permits, or Mainland Residents Exit-Entry Permits for Taiwan, etc., who need to go to the mainland after entering the country, can apply for an extension of the period of stay to the ninth day after the day of entry.

  According to the latest data, on the 15th in Macau, 66 new patients diagnosed with the new coronavirus were admitted to the isolation and treatment facilities of the Health Bureau.
