“From January 1, 2023, the social standard for the minimum income of non-working pensioners and social payments to residents who enjoy benefits will increase by 10%,” the statement says.

It is specified that the size of lump-sum and monthly payments will increase by 10% for such preferential categories as: families with many children, children and parents of dead military personnel, families raising children with disabilities or disabled since childhood, veterans of the Great Patriotic War and participants in the defense of Moscow, home front workers , labor veterans, children of war, rehabilitated citizens, etc.

Earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin instructed the government to increase salaries for employees of public sector institutions in early 2023.
