Four governments, all on the left, show their support for the ousted president on the same side.

The four countries are indignant in a joint statement: according to them, Pedro Castillo "

was the victim of a hostile, anti-democratic movement and in violation of the American Convention on Human Rights

 ".

In response, the head of Peruvian diplomacy Ana Cecilia Gervasi denounces an "

interference in the internal affairs

 " of the country.

 ”.

Mexican leader Andrés Manuel López Obrador even offered political asylum to his counterpart.

He reaffirmed his support for her this week.
