They are suspected of "violence committed in a meeting that led to the death without intention of giving it" of a 39-year-old man.
On October 12, in L'Escarène, a village near Nice, the victim, who "corresponded to the description" of the author of a burglary which occurred in this village, "was apprehended" by inhabitants, indicated the assistant to the public prosecutor of Nice.
He was found a little later by the gendarmes, injured, and finally died two days later in the hospital.
