Elementary and junior high school students from Kanagawa and Gunma prefectures requested to Hagiuda, chairman of the Liberal Democratic Party's political affairs research, that they would like to eat school lunch while having a conversation.

Regarding how to spend school lunch time, the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology issued a notice to prefectural boards of education at the end of last month that it is possible to have a conversation if appropriate measures are taken.

Under these circumstances, six elementary and junior high school students from Kanagawa and Gunma prefectures visited the Liberal Democratic Party headquarters on the 16th and met with Hagiuda, chairman of the political affairs survey.

A 5th grade girl complained, "I want to eat school lunch while chatting with everyone, but my teacher hasn't said it's okay to talk yet."

Mr. Hagiuda replied, "I would like to ask the Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology to create an environment where people can enjoy eating while chatting a little."

After this, a girl in the first grade of elementary school said, "I'm glad I was able to convey my desire to change my silent diet."
