Galerie Tanit is celebrating a double birthday: Naila Kettaneh-Kunigk opened her art shop in Munich 50 years ago;

the branch in Beirut, the gallery owner's home town, was added 15 years ago.

The program focused early on on American art, such as Dan Flavin and Donald Judd, but always remained open and experimental.

Today there is a focus on young art, also from the Middle East;

In doing so, she successfully mixes up viewing habits in the respective other cultural area, as also in the large Munich anniversary show "Paper Trail" with fifty artists.

(Until December 23.) The Beirut site was severely damaged in the 2020 blast at the port there, but was able to reopen the following year.

The group show “Crossed Perspectives” is currently running there.

(Until January 2nd.)

In 2020, Max Goelitz took over the rooms of the Häusler Gallery and parts of the program, which he rejuvenated and expanded.

Now he opened a branch in Berlin.

"Statement positions" are to be shown in the former rooms of Alexander Levy in Kreuzberg.

“energy/power” by visual artist and composer Haroon Mirza will kick things off with multi-sensory installations that supply themselves with energy.

(Until January 28.)

After the death of Edith Rieder a few months ago, the Rieder Gallery will close at the beginning of next year.

For almost four decades, she showed classic modern and informal, and later also photography, on Maximilianstraße in the former rooms of the legendary art dealer Günther Franke.

A presentation of works from the program runs until December 22nd.
