He said this in an address to citizens, RIA Novosti reports.

According to Vučić, Merkel's statement "dramatically changes things," primarily in a political sense.

“For me, this is a clear signal - who cannot be trusted,” said the President of Serbia.

He added that the question arises of how to be small countries, if "they could play like that with someone who is much stronger than us, and deceive the Russian Federation."

Earlier, Merkel called the Minsk agreements an attempt to give Ukraine time to "become stronger."

She noted that today's Ukraine militarily is "not what it was in 2014-2015."

Prior to this, Poroshenko, during a conversation with Russian pranksters Vovan and Lexus, who introduced themselves as former US Ambassador to Russia Michael McFaul, said that he had signed the Minsk agreements in order to gain time.

Russian President Vladimir Putin said he was disappointed with Merkel's remarks about the Minsk agreements.
