This was stated by Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić.

His words are quoted by RIA Novosti.

In an address to citizens, he noted that the request would be sent on the basis of UN Security Council Resolution 1244.

He noted that the official decision on sending the request will be made on December 12.

At the same time, Vucic expressed confidence that the NATO mission would reject this application.

On December 8, Vecherne Novosti reported that between 200 and 300 Kosovo Police Special Forces in armored vehicles had invaded Serb-populated northern Kosovo and Metohija.

Later, the Kosovo police confirmed information about the increase in the number of employees in the northern part of the province inhabited by Serbs.

In addition, it became known that the Serbian authorities will consider the possibility of returning 1,000 members of the security forces to unrecognized Kosovo.
