For the first time since the introduction of the National Assembly Advancement Act in 2014, the budget bill failed to be processed within the regular session of the National Assembly.

People's Power Ho-young Joo and Hong-geun Park, the floor leader of the Democratic Party, met twice this morning and afternoon, but concluded the consultation after confirming only differences of opinion.

Floor leader Joo Ho-young said, "There is no point in meeting more today, and we decided to take time to discuss it again."

Representatives of the two parties said that they could not narrow the difference at all on issues such as lowering the maximum corporate tax rate from 25% to 22%.

As it is physically difficult to process the budget bill agreed at the plenary session tomorrow, the Democratic Party plans to take steps to ensure that the Democratic Party's own revised budget bill can be processed along with the dismissal proposal for Minister of Public Administration and Security Lee Sang-min.

As the deadline for processing the proposed dismissal of Minister Lee is 2:00 pm tomorrow, there is a high possibility that a plenary session will be held tomorrow morning and the Democratic Party will handle the revised budget bill and dismissal bill alone.
