The message was published on the website of the US Foreign Ministry.
The visit will take place from 11 to 14 December.
According to the State Department, the topic of competition and potential areas for cooperation are planned to be discussed in China.
Preparations will also be made for a visit by US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken to China scheduled for early 2023.
Earlier, Blinken said that the United States is in intense competition with China, but does not want a conflict with Beijing.
