Ten days ago, as the Superbagnères ski resort was preparing to open its slopes, the two Ravi bridges which provide access to the Haute-Garonne ski area, were damaged by the passage of a convoy exceptional.

This 90-tonne crane and 55-tonne semi-trailer were traveling to the site of the Crémaillère express, the site's new gondola lift, the site of which has been delayed and which will deprive access between the village until next spring. and the station that way.

To compensate for the absence of the new gondola, the county council had considered setting up a free shuttle service.

But the expertise of the bridge after its degradation prohibit the passage to vehicles of more than 3.5 tons.

The RD 46 road therefore reopened this Friday, and the station will do so on Saturday, December 17, but it will only be accessible by light vehicles.

A new blow for Luchon-Superbagnères which relied on these shuttles to maintain part of its attendance and on its lowered price, from 35.50 euros last season to 29 euros this year.

"Light vehicles will have access to the two car parks at the Superbagnères station, within the limit of available places", indicates the departmental council in a press release which specifies that the other area managed by Haute-Garonne Montagne, the Mourtis station, will open also on December 17.
