Nebenzya, according to RIA Novosti, called the topic of the Security Council requested by Russia "the consequences of the growing smuggling of weapons supplied to Ukraine to various regions of the globe for international peace and security."

UN Under-Secretary-General Izumi Nakamitsu, in turn, called on countries that supply weapons to Ukraine to monitor the situation so that weapons do not fall into third parties.

In October, Russian President Vladimir Putin, at a meeting with the heads of the special services of the CIS countries, warned of the danger of the black market for weapons operating in Ukraine.
