Hicks added that the provision of military assistance to Ukraine and Taiwan does not overlap in any way, since the United States is transferring weapons from its own warehouses to Kyiv, and Washington has created a “completely new machine” for Taiwan.

On November 29, John Kirby, strategic communications coordinator at the White House National Security Council, announced that the United States would continue to supply weapons to Taiwan, despite military assistance to Ukraine.

The Wall Street Journal reported that the US authorities are concerned about the threat of a shortage of weapons for supplies to Taiwan due to large-scale military assistance to Ukraine.
