The Minister of Justice and the Yemeni Minister of Defense sign an agreement in the field of defense and countering terrorism

Minister of Justice Abdullah bin Sultan bin Awad Al-Nuaimi received, on behalf of the Minister of State for Defense Affairs, Mohammed bin Ahmed Al-Bawardi, at the headquarters of the Ministry of Defense in Abu Dhabi, today, Lieutenant General Mohsen Mohammed Al-Daari, Minister of Defense of the Republic of Yemen.

During the meeting, which was attended by the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Defense, Matar Salem Ali Al Dhaheri, they discussed the relations of cooperation and joint coordination between the two brotherly countries in the defense and military fields and ways of developing them in order to achieve common interests, in addition to reviewing a number of regional and international issues of common concern and exchanging views on them.

The two sides signed an agreement for "military and security cooperation and the fight against terrorism" in their commitment to the principles of equality and sovereignty, and in response to the desire of the two parties for mutual cooperation to serve the interests of the two countries and their peoples and an affirmation of the importance that the two parties attach to maintaining security, peace and stability in the Republic of Yemen and in accordance with international agreements, norms, principles and decisions of the law. In the field of combating terrorism and security cooperation, in order to enhance efforts and military cooperation to combat terrorism.

A number of senior officers and officials in the Ministry of Defense and members of the delegation accompanying the Yemeni Minister of Defense attended the meeting and signing of the agreement.
