According to the initiative, people whose bail orders are issued by the Public Prosecution will not need to place a replacement passport for another person, whether it is one of their relatives or friends, or even seize their passports, as their data will be included in the lists of those banned from traveling without the need. to hold their passports.

Public Prosecution statistics indicate that the total number of passports withheld pending cases during the past year amounted to 50,000 passports. However, under the initiative, resident or visitor data will be stored on the Public Prosecution’s electronic system, which contributes to a decrease in this number of passports by more than 70%. % during the first year of its application, according to the expected results.

According to the Public Prosecution, the initiative achieves several goals, including humanitarian aspects represented in reducing the imprisonment of defendants in minor cases, such as checks, which helps them solve their problems, as well as reducing the expenses of arresting or imprisoning the accused, in addition to canceling the bail by seizing passports, and ensuring Implementation of judgments, in order to reach a higher goal, which is the happiness of customers.

In addition, the Public Prosecution launched, during its platform in Dubai, the “Immediate Implementation Initiative”, which is a smart mechanism for implementing rulings issued by judges directly. And coordinating with the relevant banks to provide an employee to collect the fines at the same place.

The initiative aims to speed up the implementation of judgments issued by judges immediately upon issuance of the verdict, through the execution of judgments completing the procedures directly in the courtrooms, by 75%, and to contribute to raising the percentage of customers’ happiness by 87%, and the speedy release of the convicts immediately after the verdict is issued.

According to the previous procedures before implementing the initiative, it used to take about eight hours, starting with adjourning the session by the judge and issuing judgments, sending the accused to the arrest of the prosecution, then presenting the files to the judges to sign the minutes of judgments, completing the procedures by the secretaries, and sending the files to the Execution Department. Judgments to issue the execution order, then start the execution and bring the accused from detention. However, after implementing the initiative, all these procedures were reduced to three steps that do not exceed two hours, by providing all the necessary facilities and tools to collect the violations and implement the ruling directly.
