Overload attack

Initially, the Ministry of Defense announced that a technical error was behind the problems, but later the statement changed to an attack that caused them.

- It turns out to be an overload attack (DDoS), where underlying web servers are stressed to the point that they cannot respond and display the usual websites, writes the Danish Ministry of Defense on Twitter.

According to the ministry, they worked during Thursday evening to solve the problems.

As far as the authority is aware, the attacks should not have affected the operational capability of the defence.

Otherwise, they do not want to comment on the incident.

Affected several countries recently

A week ago, a similar attack took place against the Armed Forces here in Sweden.

Then the Armed Forces website was down for ten minutes.

This summer, a number of websites belonging to the Norwegian defense were hit, which claimed that a pro-Russian hacker group was behind them, Danmarks Radio writes.
