When it comes to auto insurance, premiums vary significantly from driver to driver.

The price depends on the level of coverage, the profile of the motorist, his department but also the make and model of his vehicle.

The parameter is therefore to be taken into account when buying a car to avoid unpleasant surprises.

A recent study by the comparator Assurland, relayed by BFMTV, compares insurance premiums according to the brand of vehicle.

Mitsubishi and Dacia, the cheapest

At the end of 2022, the average amount of the premium paid by French motorists is 630 euros.

But for a Mitsubishi vehicle, the bill drops to 412 euros on average and 416 euros for owners of a Dacia.

For the models of the subsidiary of the Renault group, the low cost of insurance is explained in particular by a relatively low price.

The owners of these vehicles therefore often opt for third-party coverage, and not all risks.

The cost of electric vehicle insurance is falling

On the other hand, brands such as Maserati, Porsche or BMW are among the most expensive to insure.

A logical phenomenon given the prices of these vehicles.

Finally, it is important to note that electric vehicle insurance is currently on the decline.

For example, the premium for a Tesla car has decreased by 11% in two years, according to Assurland, with an average of 915 euros per year.
