Greyness and temperatures approaching zero: this is what Météo-France forecasts for the weather this Friday.

Light rain is expected from the Aquitaine coast to the Vosges mountains.

On the southern side of the Alps, snow is expected from 1,200 meters above sea level.

The day will be wintry on Friday across the country, forecasts Météo-France.

The gloom will still be present throughout the day in the regions from Poitou-Charentes to Lorraine, even if a few fleeting sunny spells will try to break through in the afternoon.

The risk of showers will be present along the Channel coasts, they could make the roads slippery inland at the very beginning of the day and the following evening, where temperatures will be lower.

Further south, the sky will remain overcast.

It will rain lightly until the beginning of the afternoon from the Aquitaine coast to the Vosges mountains.

The rain-snow limit will oscillate between 800 m on the Jura and 1,200 m on the south of the Alps.

In the afternoon, the precipitation will fade, only affecting the northern Alps in the evening.
