The 974 Stadium in Doha, Qatar, where the World Cup round of 16 was held between the Korean national soccer team and Brazil, has been demolished.

According to foreign media, the Qatari authorities began demolition work the day after the round of 16 match between Korea and Brazil, including removing the tarp of the 974 Stadium and cleaning the surrounding area.

974 Stadium is an eco-friendly stadium created exclusively for the Qatar World Cup. It was built using recyclable construction materials and 974 shipping containers, conceived of Qatar's international phone number, 974.

The cost of construction is about 300 million euros, about 400 billion won in our money.

Last year, six Arab Cup games were held as a stadium test event, and in the World Cup, only seven games were played, including six group matches and the round of 16 between Korea and Brazil, and they disappeared into history.

Most of the 974 large containers used at the stadium will be donated.

While donations to underdeveloped countries in Africa are promising, there is also news that Uruguay, which is promoting joint hosting of the 2030 World Cup, has jumped into the container takeover bid.
