China News Service, December 7th reported that Russia has been attacked by a series of drones in recent days. U.S. Secretary of State Blinken publicly stated on the 6th local time that the United States did not allow Ukraine to launch attacks in Russia.

Blinken said in response to a reporter's question on the same day that he had seen reports of attacks on the Russian mainland and that the United States "neither encouraged nor allowed" Ukraine to attack targets in Russia.

Ukraine has yet to comment on the matter.

At the same briefing, U.S. Defense Secretary Austin said the U.S. had not prevented Ukraine from acquiring or developing its own long-range weapons and that the U.S. was continuing to provide military assistance to Ukraine.

U.S. State Department spokesman Price also said on the same day that the United States does not encourage Ukraine to launch attacks outside its borders. He said that the United States "does not provide Ukraine with weapons for use in Russia."

In recent days, three military bases in Russia have been attacked by drones, two of which may be the deepest attacks Russia has ever encountered.

The Russian Ministry of Defense stated that Ukraine dispatched drones to attack military airports in the Saratov and Ryazan regions of Russia on the 5th, resulting in 3 deaths and 4 injuries.

It is reported that two aircraft were damaged in the attack.

Both places are more than 500 kilometers away from the Russian-Ukrainian border.

After the situation in Ukraine deteriorated, Russia has repeatedly warned the United States and its allies not to cross the "red line" to provide long-range weapons to Ukraine.

Judging from the official U.S. statement, the U.S. government, which has been "fighting" constantly, also has certain concerns about further escalating the situation.

The New York Times reported that the United States has so far refused to provide Ukraine with the ATACMS surface-to-surface missile that can reach the Russian mainland because of concerns that the missile will be used to attack targets in Russia.
