“To date, the Russian embassy in Germany has not received notifications from the German side about the detention of a Russian citizen in the framework of the mentioned case,” the diplomatic mission cites TASS.

The Embassy sent a request to the General Prosecutor's Office of Germany to establish the circumstances of the incident.

Earlier, the Prosecutor General's Office of Germany reported that among those detained on suspicion of preparing a coup d'état in Germany there is a Russian citizen.

According to the department, some of those detained in Germany are suspected of preparing an armed attack on the German Bundestag.

It was reported that 25 suspected members and supporters of a terrorist organization were detained and searches were carried out in 11 federal states against a total of 52 suspects.
