Between four o'clock on Friday morning 10 December until midnight, Ringhals 3 will deliver 537 megawatts, against the usual 1074 megawatts.

This is stated in a market announcement to the electricity exchange Nordpool.

- It is our supplier General Electric that has alerted us to a general error that can occur with this type of construction solution, says Anna Wallrud, deputy press manager at Ringhals to Dagens nyheter.

Precaution

It is about a precautionary measure so as not to risk a longer stop in the future, Anna Wallrud tells the newspaper.

Since August, reactor 4 in the Ringhals nuclear power plant has been shut down for repairs.

The Energy Agency's latest situation picture for the electricity supply shows that "uncertainty increases significantly" during the period 9 to 18 December, when reactor 3 at the Oskarshamn nuclear power plant is also taken out of operation for maintenance.
