The American magazine "Time" chose Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and "Ukrainian Spirit" as the "people of the year" who had the greatest impact on the world.

Every year since 1927, Time magazine has selected the person or organization that had the most influence on the world that year as the "People of the Year". announced that it had been selected.

Regarding the reason for choosing President Zelensky, Time magazine pointed out that ``Even after Russia launched its attack on February 24, he remained in Ukraine and continued to collect support, causing a wave of action around the world.'' He called on the international community to unite and support Ukraine from all over the world.

He also said that the reason why he chose "Ukrainian spirit" is that it is embodied by many people who have cared for and helped Ukraine. It introduces the activities of British surgeons who visited the area many times and continued to teach local doctors how to treat people injured in attacks.

"President Zelensky and the Ukrainian spirit have proven that courage can be as contagious as fear, while also reminding the world how fragile democracy and peace can be," said Time magazine editor-in-chief.
