“Currently, operational-search activities aimed at identifying and detaining the suspect are ongoing,” a representative of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the Rostov Region told RIA Novosti.
Earlier, the department said that a man in a camouflage uniform opened fire on police officers, after which he fled the scene.
The wounded policeman was hospitalized, his condition is assessed as moderate.
