OAS Secretary General recognizes Boluarte as new President of Peru

“We salute the President of Peru, Dina Boluarte, and her call for national unity,” Almagro said on Twitter, TASS said.

He noted that the OAS reaffirms the need to restore the democratic path through inclusive, open, frank and respectful dialogue.

Earlier, Peruvian Vice President Dina Boluarte took the oath of office as head of state.
