A man was sentenced to two years in prison, including one firm, Monday during his hearing before the criminal court of Avignon (Vaucluse).

He was prosecuted for having scammed several motorists, between March and September 2022, in Avignon and Le Pontet, reports Le Dauphiné Libéré.

The man, driving his car, passed the vehicle of his victims before crushing and causing an accident.

He then attacked the driver, showing him the damage caused by the collision.

The motorist intimidated his interlocutors by his behavior and his vehemence.

No report and a sum in cash

In the end, the victims agreed not to fill out an accident report and to give cash to the scammer.

He would have extorted around 1,000 euros, claiming sums estimated between 30 and 300 euros from each of the motorists.
