A driver died Tuesday in Vaires-sur-Marne (Seine-et-Marne), after a collision with another vehicle.

The tragedy occurred around 3 p.m. on the D 934, towards Brou-sur-Chantereine, reports

Driving a Mercedes Class B, the 36-year-old man swerved for an unknown reason on a straight line and hit an oncoming truck.

According to the first elements noted on the spot, the driver of the semi-trailer would have tried everything to avoid the car, in vain.

The Mercedes quickly caught fire after the shock, very violent.

The witnesses of the scene could not do anything to extract the driver.

Opening an investigation

The truck driver was taken care of by the emergency services.

He is slightly injured.

An investigation was opened and entrusted to the Noisiel agglomeration police station to shed light on the circumstances of this new fatal accident in the department.
