On Wednesday morning, the federal prosecutor's office had 25 people from the so-called Reich citizen scene arrested in the course of a raid.

Around 3,000 officers were deployed in eleven federal states and searched the objects of a total of 52 suspects, said a spokeswoman for the Karlsruhe authority.

The federal prosecutor accuses the accused of having prepared the overthrow of the state and wanting to replace it with their own form of government.

The basics of this had already been worked out.

"The members of the association are aware that this project can only be realized through the use of military means and violence against state representatives," the statement said.

"This also includes committing homicides."

Henry XIII

Prince Reuss was to head the council

A "military arm" should also "eliminate" the democratic constitutional state at the level of the municipalities, districts and municipalities, the federal prosecutor said.

The central body of the group is a "council" that Henry XIII.

Prince Reuss is in charge.

He is considered the future head of state within the association.

Thomas T acts as his personal advisor. Similar to the cabinet of a regular government, the body has departments such as justice, foreign policy and health.

According to FAZ information, the arrested include the former AfD member of the Bundestag Birgit Malsack-Winkemann.

She was apparently supposed to lead the justice department after the overthrow.

"Members of the 'Council' have met regularly in secret since November 2021,

According to FAZ information, Sven B., against whom the GBA is already investigating in another case and who has been in custody since April, also belongs to the group of suspects today.

The investigations in the spring were directed against a group of right-wing extremists and "Reich citizens" who apparently wanted to kidnap Federal Minister of Health Karl Lauterbach.

According to the Federal Prosecutor's Office, the group had set itself the goal of triggering civil war-like conditions in Germany.

She, too, was apparently concerned with the overthrow of the federal government and parliamentary democracy.

Faeser: "Enemies of Democracy"

Federal Minister of the Interior Nancy Faeser (SPD) spoke of an "abyss of terrorist threat" in view of the alleged coup plans.

"As far as the investigations are concerned, the alleged terrorist organization uncovered today is driven by fantasies of violent overthrow and conspiracy ideologies," explained Faeser. However, the constitutional state knows "how to defend itself against the enemies of democracy".

Federal Minister of Justice Marco Buschmann described the nationwide raid in the Reich Citizens' Scene as an "anti-terrorist operation".

"Democracy is defensive: A major anti-terrorist operation has been taking place since this morning," wrote the FDP politician on Twitter on Wednesday morning.

"There is a suspicion that an armed attack on constitutional bodies was planned."

Investigations against active KSK soldiers

The investigations of the Federal Prosecutor's Office are also directed against an active soldier of the Special Forces Command (KSK) of the Bundeswehr and several reservists of the Bundeswehr.

The active soldier was deployed on the KSK staff, a spokesman for the Military Counterintelligence Service (MAD) told the German Press Agency on Wednesday.

It's supposed to be a non-commissioned officer.

Accordingly, his house and office in the Graf Zeppelin barracks in Calw, Baden-Württemberg, were searched.

He had already been noticed in the Bundeswehr as an opponent of vaccination and was later reported from the troops.

So far, however, no references to previous extremism incidents in the KSK have been discovered during the investigations.

"The MAD was involved in the investigations of the GBA in advance and shared its findings with the Office for the Protection of the Constitution and with the Federal Criminal Police Office," said the MAD spokesman.

The active soldier is a member of the special forces command, but it is not a commando soldier.

The background is that parts of the logistics, support staff and the management of the association are also stationed in the barracks.
