Explosive devices were discovered on the GR34 hiking trail, reports Le Télégramme.
The municipality of Plougonvelin (Finistère) has therefore issued an order to prohibit access to this coastal path within a perimeter of 500 meters, until December 31.
The portion of the path located in the Rospects and Saint-Mathieu sectors is therefore prohibited to pedestrians and vehicles, except for emergency services.
Traffic and parking are also suspended from the rural road N°2 to the GR34.
Maritime activities prohibited for two days

also specifies that maritime activities will be prohibited on December 8 and 9, near the discovery area of the machines.
The Finistère prefecture has issued an order to this effect.
The GR34 is called the "customs path" and runs along the coast of Brittany for more than 2,000 km. It was voted France's favorite long-distance hiking trail in 2018, as part of the MonGR favorite national competition organized by the FF Randonnée each year.
