The Democratic Party of Korea decided to handle the proposal to dismiss Minister Lee Sang-min as scheduled.
The Democratic Party decided this afternoon after collecting opinions on whether to dismiss Lee or impeachment as the method of censure against Minister Lee at the general assembly held this afternoon, Lee Su-jin, a spokesman for the House of Representatives, said in a briefing.
Representative Lee said, "The lawmakers agreed to treat the minister as a proposal for dismissal."
He said, "Afterwards, as the state affairs investigation continues, the president will take the dismissal proposal seriously and if he does not take action, he will proceed with the impeachment motion."
