The inhabitants of Vendeuil-Caply are called upon to be extremely vigilant.

A scam is currently circulating in this small town in the Oise.

Guillaume Menard, the mayor of the village, communicated on this scam Tuesday in a publication on Facebook.

According to the elected official, a company contacts the inhabitants by telephone pretending to be the telephone operator Orange.

The crooks then tell the subscribers of this operator “that they will be cut off within 10 minutes” if they do not call back a particular number, explains Guillaume Menard.

It is 08. 93. 03. 80. 06.

On Facebook, the mayor confirms that it is a scam.

He invites the inhabitants of his town not to answer two telephone numbers, namely 03. 79. 45. 04. 26 and 04. 51. 09. 23. 55. This scam could also be linked to a surcharge of the call because the numbers starting with "08" are likely to be surcharged, specifies Actu Oise.
