According to the website of the Macao SAR Government, at about 10:00 today (7th), the Macao Security Force Higher School held the "Police Shooting Instructor Training Course" at the Macao Security Force Shooting Range in Luhuan. An accident occurred during shooting training. A police officer of the school was shot in the right thigh and was sent to the hospital. After preliminary examination, the bullet scratched the right thigh and caused a laceration. The ambulance from the fire station was sent to the Earl General Hospital for treatment. The condition is stable now , all right.
This course has strictly complied with the relevant safety rules of the shooting range. The course is divided into theoretical and practical shooting. All students have completed the theoretical part, while the practical shooting has undergone multi-day training. The injured police officer joined the public security police in 1997 Bureau.
The Security College will conduct further investigations into the incident together with the Public Security Police Bureau to determine the problem.
The security college expressed its high concern about this incident and immediately reviewed the safety measures of relevant training to avoid similar incidents from happening again.
After the incident, school leaders immediately went to the hospital to visit the injured police officers.
