In Russia, the incidence of influenza and SARS is growing, the press service of Rospotrebnadzor reported.

“Over the past week, the incidence of SARS and influenza has increased by 23.3% compared to the previous week.

In the structure of respiratory viruses of non-influenza etiology, the proportion of rhinoviruses (13.3%), RS viruses (12.0%), metapneumoviruses (10.1%), adenoviruses (7.2%) remains the highest, ”the message says.

The so-called swine flu has already been detected in 74 subjects of the Russian Federation.

Along with this, the vaccination campaign continues in the country.

So, to date, more than 72.4 million people have been vaccinated, which is 49.5% of the population of Russia.

The highest vaccination coverage against influenza was recorded in the Republic of Tyva (61.5%), Chechnya (60.5%), the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug (60.4%), the Tyumen Region (60.1%) and the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug (59.1%).

The worst in this ranking: Vladimir region (42.1%), Ulyanovsk region (41.5%), Pskov region (37.8%), Republic of Karelia (40.9%), Republic of Khakassia (39.8%), Murmansk region (32.5%).

At the same time, the press service of the Moscow Department of Health denied publications widespread in Telegram channels about congestion in the capital's clinics and hospitals.

“The information that due to the spread of the influenza virus in Moscow there are difficulties with the work of medical services is absolutely untrue.

All city medical organizations, both outpatient and inpatient levels, are provided with the necessary resources to help the sick, ”TASS reports.

The department emphasized that the necessary volume of infectious beds has been prepared in the capital, work has been debugged at the outpatient level, and the necessary number of workers have been involved to ensure the timely provision of medical care.

“As for the work of the ambulance, the statement that it works at the limit is also not true.

The load corresponds to the seasonal rise in morbidity and is not a peak.

There is no shortage of employees of the dispatch service and doctors, paramedics who go to calls.

At the same time, we note that the situation when several ambulances can simultaneously be near the hospital is not something unique.

During the day, especially during the seasonal rise in the incidence, such situations cannot be considered extraordinary, ”explained the press service of the Moscow Department of Health.

In addition, at the National Research Center for Epidemiology and Microbiology named after N.F.

Gamalei reported on work to create a vaccine that would protect against various strains of influenza.

“We are working on it now, the vaccine will work against the H1N1 variant and many other flu variants, even possibly H5N1 avian flu.

We hope that this vaccine will need to be vaccinated every three to four years, ”TASS quotes Alexander Gintsburg, director of the Gamaleya center.

According to him, the drug is currently at the second stage of research: “Our employees invented it in such a way that antibodies began to be produced against the “stalk” of influenza, which contains parts common to all influenza viruses that actually do not change from one strain to another” .

Coronavirus

In addition to influenza and SARS, the number of people with coronavirus infection is increasing in Russia, Rospotrebnadzor said.

“In the 48th week of 2022, 43.4 thousand cases of COVID-19 were registered, which is 11.6% more than in the 47th week.

An increase in the incidence is recorded in 57 regions, including Moscow, the Moscow Region and St. Petersburg, ”the message says.

At the same time, the proportion of lines BA.4 and BA.5 of the Omicron strain among cases of coronavirus infection detected in the Russian Federation over the past two weeks amounted to more than 90%.

At the same time, 1,471 people required hospitalization, which is 151.5% more than the day before.
