Ukrainian Foreign Ministry spokesman Nikolenko said on social media platforms on December 5 local time that the country's embassies and consulates in 12 countries have received 21 threatening packages.
"Ukrainian diplomats should not be intimidated, nor should they be crushed. We will continue to effectively protect Ukraine from harm," he wrote.
As of December 1 local time, several key Spanish departments and foreign embassies in Spain have received suspicious emails containing explosives.
A staff member of the Ukrainian embassy in Spain was injured in the incident.
