It was on July 6 earlier this year that Ing-Marie Wieselgren was stabbed to death on Donner's place in Visby.

Theodor Engström was arrested at the scene and he admitted early on that he had carried out the crime.

"He's attacking my reality"

At the beginning of November, the main hearing began at the Gotland district court - one of the largest court hearings ever on the island.

The negotiations have been messy at times.

Among other things, Theodor Engström had to be taken out of the courtroom during the prosecutor's closing argument - after interrupting him several times with the words: "He's attacking my reality".

Severely mentally disturbed

A previous forensic psychiatric examination has established that Theodor Engström was seriously mentally disturbed when he committed the crime.

But District Attorney Henrik Olin wants him to be sentenced to life in prison.

- It is also not possible to ignore the digital notes in this encrypted hard drive, old in and of themselves, where Theodor Engström reasons about punishment for serious crimes and reasons about aiming for forensic psychiatric care in the event that he were to go there, said Henrik Olin during the trial.

Theodor Engström is indicted on suspicion of a terrorist crime through the murder of Ing-Marie Wieselgren and of preparation for a terrorist crime directed against the party leader Annie Lööf (C).

At 11 a.m. today, the verdict against Theodor Engström will be handed down at the Gotland district court.
