Private schools revealed that they had received calls from parents requesting that their children be allowed to take their exams remotely, explaining that their children had been absent from school as a result of a cold or other mild symptoms.

She added that she refused to respond to these demands, because their children's health conditions are not dangerous, and they are not considered chronic diseases that impede their access to school.

She pointed out that some of the students' families tolerated their children's absence from exams for health reasons, which did not include symptoms such as a rise in temperature, which prompted schools to oblige them to bring a sick certificate, so that the absence would be a health excuse.

Private schools in the Northern Emirates required students who were absent from the end-of-semester exams for health reasons during the past week to bring a certified sickness certificate from the hospital or clinic where they were treated.

She explained that the students’ families should notify the supervisors and communicate with them two hours before the student is absent from the exam.

She added that no student who is absent from exams will be allowed to submit them without a sick certificate, or to provide a convincing excuse, such as emergency travel or first-degree deaths.

And she added that the school administrations communicate with the students' families if they detect his absence from exam seats, to inquire about the reason for his absence, take the necessary administrative measures, and set an appointment before the start of the first semester vacation to submit the missed exam, if there is a real excuse for absence.
