The man's account was used in another crime, a romance scam, in which a woman in southern Sweden was tricked into paying money to a person who claimed to be an American soldier.

She paid money to help the soldier.

But the money, SEK 61,000, was deposited into Jämten's bank account.

He then transferred the money to other accounts.

The man has explained that he thought he was helping a friend who lacked a Swedish bank account to transfer money.

He denies that he did anything criminal.

The prosecutor believes that the man acted deliberately and with intent.

The district court in Östersund must now decide the issue.
