On five occasions, Gävle residents received a total of 19 mobile phones with a value of just over SEK 200,000 from the store in Gävle.

The fraudster, who was in a relationship with the store manager, got a store employee to hand over the phones.

The fraudster claimed that the phones would be delivered to a buyer and that he would return with a signed purchase agreement.

The phones were in the home

However, the scammer never came back with any agreement.

According to the verdict, several of the phones and the unsigned contracts were at home in the fraudster's residence.

The fraudster, a 35-year-old man, is sentenced to a suspended sentence and 80 daily fines totaling SEK 33,600 for five cases of fraud.

He must also pay damages of just over SEK 200,000 to the store.

Both the employee and the store manager have been fired by the company that runs the store, on the grounds that they deviated from the procedures.
