In addition to the wage gap, there are still some barriers associated with female employment, she said.

“Women have professional skills on an equal footing with men, but do not get enough promotion,” Batalina said at a meeting of the Council of the Eurasian Women's Forum under the Federation Council.

She noted that in order to ensure equality at the corporate level, various programs for the development of women's leadership, including educational projects, are being developed within the Council of the Eurasian Women's Forum.
