The North Korean military said, "There is a situation where the enemy is firing artillery in the vicinity of the front line, so we have ordered live ammunition to be fired at the sea for the purpose of warning a strong response."



The North Korean army fired in violation of the 9/19 agreement using the fact that the ROK and US Army fired multiple launch rockets and self-propelled artillery in the Cheorwon area, south of the buffer zone, in compliance with the 9/19 agreement.



The North Korean military fired 130 projectiles into the maritime buffer zone in the East and West Seas the day before yesterday, blaming the ROK-US combined artillery training.



There were provocations to fire at the maritime buffer zone and to fault South Korean drills on October 14, 18 and 19 as well.
