“The statement raises doubts that the United States wants to help Ukraine return Crimea or large areas of Donbass,” Ramani said.

Blinken also does not provide any explanation for media reports that the United States has reduced the range of HIMARS MLRS systems aimed at Ukraine.

Earlier, the Kremlin reminded that Crimea is an integral part of Russia and claims to Russian territory will receive a proper response.

US presidential adviser Jake Sullivan, during a recent meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, suggested that he think about "realistic" positions in negotiations to resolve the situation in Ukraine, The Wall Street Journal reported.

Crimea became a Russian region after a referendum held there in March 2014: the majority of residents voted for reunification with Russia.
