“In order to maintain a balance between the production and consumption of electricity in all regions of Ukraine, an emergency shutdown mode will be introduced,” the company wrote on Telegram.
The NEC added that, first of all, electricity will be supplied to critical infrastructure facilities, including hospitals and water utilities.
Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal previously confirmed the defeat of energy facilities in Kyiv, Vinnitsa and Odessa regions.
As Ukrainian media reported earlier, explosions occurred in Odessa, Zaporozhye, Nikolaev, as well as in the Dnipropetrovsk region and Vinnitsa.
In addition, explosions were heard in the Lviv and Ternopil regions.
