Three employees of a store located in Pierrelaye (Val-d'Oise) are suspected of having embezzled tens of thousands of euros, reports La Gazette du Val d'Oise.

The manager of the company would have realized this embezzlement during an inventory.

He would have discovered that many payments had not been collected by the store despite the delivery of the goods.

He then identified the three employees suspected of being behind this scam.

They are a secretary, a salesman and a delivery man aged 41, 33 and 50 respectively.

According to the investigators, the seller encouraged customers to pay in cash.

Then the secretary falsified the order forms and the delivery man delivered the goods with these false orders.

Judged in September 2023

The manager of the company estimates that more than 100,000 euros were misappropriated in 2020. But the exact damage has not yet been determined.

The three suspects were arrested and admitted the facts while in police custody.

They were later released.

The defendants will be tried for fraud, breach of trust, forgery and use of forgery in September 2023.
