The Emir of the State of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, held talks in Doha with the President of the United Arab Emirates, Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed.
The Qatari Emiri Diwan said that the discussions focused on relations between the two countries, and ways to support and consolidate them in various fields.
He added that there was a review of the developments of events on the regional and international arenas, and an exchange of views on a number of current issues of common concern.
In a tweet on Twitter, the President of the UAE, Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed, congratulated Qatar on the success of the FIFA World Cup.
He said that he discussed relations between the two countries, and ways to strengthen and develop them to serve common interests.
