In the last two weeks, 15 cases have been recorded, half of them in the capital of Madrid, according to data from the National Police, the Civil Guard and the Madrid Municipal Police.

That means that

a crime of a sexual nature is registered every day

in this strip of the month of November.

The data from the Ministry of the Interior for the first six months of this year already revealed that

penetrative sexual assaults had grown by 11.4%

, going from 123 cases to 137 in the first half of 2022. In other words, from January to June there was almost

one rape every 28 hours

in the region.

As for Madrid capital, the situation is similar.

In the first six months of the year there were 79 sexual assaults in the city compared to 71 in 2021, 11.3% more.

Of the 15 sexual assaults recorded in recent days, the Municipal Police has intervened in seven.

Only on the last weekend of November,

five cases

managed by Madrid municipal agents occurred in the capital, which ended with

four people arrested
