The president of the court, Ibrahima Sory 2 Toumkara, decided to adjourn the case to Monday, December 12.

It is almost 11 a.m. this morning when the president of the court calls Moussa Dadis Camara to the bar.

In the dock, he gets up and walks slowly to the wooden lectern placed in front of the lectern.

While the magistrate asks the accused if he prefers to sit down or remain standing to speak, the ex-head of state putschist, evokes his state of health: "

I have suffered for a long time

, he said of a your plaintiff.

I am not above the law.

If you oblige me, I will try to be at your disposal.

But in all seriousness, I don't feel up to it right now.

I defer to your wisdom.

I have no choice, Mr. President

 .

The president questions him: “

You mean that you are ill, that you are unable to address the court

?

Dadis Camara answers in the affirmative and says he has contracted malaria.

He claims to be weak.

This is not the first time that Moussa Dadis Camara has warned about his state of health.

This was suggested by the president of the court during the hearing this morning.

The former head of the junta and his advisers had already requested a three-week period, a period now exhausted, according to Ibrahima Sory 2 Toumkara.

When asked how soon he would be able to appear, Dadis Camara did not want to give an answer, but he said he was in a hurry after fighting for more than 13 years to be before this court.

Fear of coming to face justice

 ”

After the hearing, one

of Toumba's

lawyers , Dadis Camara's ex-camp leader, spoke on the court steps.

He denounced a delaying measure to save time.

He does not understand why the former head of state is now “

afraid to come and face justice.

There is no evidence that Dadis is ill

 ”.

According to him, Moussa Dadis Camara is the ninth defendant called to the bar in the trial of the Conakry stadium massacre, which has eleven defendants in total.

This trial began two months ago.

After the defendants, it is the victims and witnesses who will come to recount the bloody repression of September 28, 2009.
