CSTO PA adopted a statement on the inadmissibility of the development of biological weapons

It is reported by TASS with reference to the statement.

“We declare our commitment to a world free of biological weapons, and we proceed from the fact that the state bodies of the CSTO countries will join forces in coordinating work on the unconditional implementation of the convention in the organization’s space and strengthening the legislative framework in this area,” the document says.

It is added that the CSTO PA notes the increased role of the Convention on the Prohibition of the Development, Production and Stockpiling of Biological and Toxin Weapons and on Their Destruction (BTWC) "against the background of modern challenges in the field of biological security."

Earlier, Igor Kirillov, head of the Radiation, Chemical and Biological Defense Forces of the Russian Armed Forces, said that under the control of the Pentagon in Ukraine, tests of pathogens of infectious diseases on military personnel and the mentally ill have been or are still being carried out.
