Paul Pelosi, husband of House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, who is recovering from a blunt force attack, made her first public appearance since the incident.



The New York Times reported on the 5th (local time) that Paul Pelosi and his wife attended the 'Kennedy Center Contribution Award Ceremony', an annual cultural event held in Washington, DC.



Paul Pelosi underwent emergency surgery for fractures in his skull and back of his hand after being attacked with a blunt object by a man in his 40s who was aiming at Chairman Pelosi at his San Francisco home in October.



Paul Pelosi, accompanied by his wife, was seen wearing a hat on his head and a glove on his left hand.



Audiences applauded Paul Pelosi for attending a public event for the first time since the attack.



Paul Pelosi, who took a seat in the box seats on the second floor, smiled and waved his hand at the audience in return.



Paul Pelosi is a businessman engaged in the financial industry, including real estate investment, and has been married to Chairman Pelosi for 59 years.



David Defafe, who attacked Paul Pelosi, is known to have committed the crime due to far-right conspiracy theories.



He was charged with assault and attempted kidnapping.
