CNBC reported on the 5th that Apple is considering moving production from China to India for the iPad following the iPhone as it accelerates its plan to 'de-China' production of major products.

Citing Indian government officials, the broadcast said Apple was discussing bringing some of its iPad production from China to the country.

Apple, which has been producing older iPhones in India for years, has officially announced that it will also produce the iPhone 14, a new model of its smartphone launched in September.

Now, following the latest iPhone, the iPad is also being considered for production in India.

However, CNBC broadcasting explained that there are no specific plans, such as when to start producing iPads in India.

CNBC explained that the move to the iPad production was based on the judgment that Apple had a greater need to diversify its supply chain after protests in China over the past two weeks due to the Chinese government's strict 'zero corona' policy.
